FF.net Profile • Writing Journal • Tr3someHello! My name is Lin and I'm an 18-year old English student and amateur writer. Just like everyone else on livejournal. When I was young, my parents abandoned me to a rag-tag group of grape-crushing gypsies who taught me the ancient arts of toe-tapping, wine-making, spoon-playing and, above all else, keeping it real. At the tender age of nine, I set out on my own to journey across the great Canadian 401. During my travels, I met many eccentric characters, such as Denny the Hobo, Clarence the highway minister, Rick Moranis, Glenn the 401 matador, Patchwork Face Gladys and Sherbert Bumbleforker the Third, who needs no introduction. I fought constantly to attain ultimate "realness" during my pilgrimage across the 401, and mediated often on what it truly meant to "keep it real." By the time I reached the magnificent metropolis of Toronto, I had obtained my goal. One day I hope to be reunited with my grape-crushing, toe-tapping family, but until then, I write in my livejournal in hopes of making contact with all the friends I left behind during my pilgrimage down the 401. Sometimes I look up at the sky, red and pulsating like the blood of fresh roadkill, and think of it as a metaphor for my life.
